We leave Marrakech in the morning and head to the Agafay desert, as it is called by the locals.
This destination is ideal for people who do not have a lot of time in Marrakech and can’t go al the way to the sandy dunes.
It is about an hour away from Marrakech but make no mistake, the Agafay desert will make you feel as if you are days away from civilization.
In this breathtaking stone desert camel rides and quads are available.
The next stop is the dam of lalla Takerkoust.
This lake provides Marrakech from its electricity. It is a great spot to take a break and also jet skiing can be arranged locally.
We then continue to the kik plateau (1800 meters altitude), which offers a spectacular 360 degrees view of the mountains surrounding us.
the moulay Brahim village is the next stop. Moulay Brahih was a well-known Moroccan sufi saint.
If you want to, we can visit his grave before we visit a few local ladies who produce argan oil.
Even in Morocco finding 100 % pure argan oil is difficult, so this is the perfect opportunity to buy some.
We then head back to Marrakech but that does not mean that we are finished. If you want, we can go to a special party at Chez Ali.
Fantasia chez ali is an ideal evening out with or without children in Marrakech.
It is one big berber spectacle with horses, acrobatics, guns, traditional music and more.
There will ofcourse be good food such as Harira soup,Mechoui (lamb on spit), couscous, Moroccan patisserie, Fruit, Mint tea / Coffee.
NOTE: This route can be shortened to a camel ride/quad ride and if desired lunch before we go back to Marrakech.
The party at fantasia chez Ali is optional.
